NATS (National Air Traffic Services) Aberdeen Team Expansion

NATS (National Air Traffic Services) are expanding their Aberdeen team due to increased demand. As part of this programme they are seeking an experienced MSP Project Planner to support on a contract basis.

Location

Aberdeen (3-5 days per week onsite)

Duration

6 month initial contract

Role details

The Aberdeen site plays a key role in supporting helicopter traffic to and from offshore platforms, and they are planning upgrades to their radar, voice, and communication systems.

Responsibilities not limited to:

  • Create, maintain and Assure Programme/Project schedules in accordance with the Business Change Framework by interpreting the business case, technical documentation, cost estimates, commercial contracts and finance data for the purpose of providing NATS with accurate business forecasts and the confidence of delivering Programmes/Projects to Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD).
  • To promote and support the use of tools (SAP) and procedures for project planning and project control.
  • Line management of Project Planners & Trainee planners.
  • Design and creation of a WBS that meets the technical requirements of the programme/project and fits the product delivery lifecycle.
  • Create and maintain a portfolio of inter-dependant project schedules to manage delivery at programme level.
  • Analyse programme/project performance and Critical Path, reporting status and potential problems to the programme/project manager. Attend reviews and meetings to support the Programme/Project Managers, providing data and reports to give visibility of project status and performance
  • Report accurately on project finance working closely with project/management accountant to analyse project spend and budget.
  • Provide risk identification and understand the technical, cost & schedule impacts. Ability to assess risks with the aim of increasing confidence in planned project timescales and estimated costs
