Today, we’re expanding to reach our bold 2025 vision, an ambitious target we’ll realise by embracing our entrepreneurial culture. Here, employees at every level can shape their career, innovate freely, and drive the business forward.
About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced construction planner to optimise our delivery pipeline—an expert who can seamlessly integrate strategic planning with hands-on project execution. Key to this role is a deep mastery of Primavera P6, robust scheduling best practices, and strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners daily.
The Planner will provide end-to-end planning support, ensuring client objectives are met through a value-driven schedule and integrated systems.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate planning workshops with clients, vendors, and in-house teams to develop and refine the master project/programme schedule, establish baselines, and agree a critical path.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including project managers, engineers, and construction firms, to produce, update, and execute high-impact construction schedules across complex environments.
- Frequent site visits required to monitor progress, assess risks, and maintain alignment with on-ground realities.
- Develop, maintain, and evolve **detailed P6-sourced construction schedules, ensuring integration with Tableau for multi-project oversight.
- Collect and integrate schedule data from vendors, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors into a unified platform for real-time decision-making.
- Implement company-wide planning & scheduling strategy, ensuring compliance with Turner & Townsend’s roles, responsibilities, and expectations for projects and contractors.
- Act as a schedule quality assurance liaison, ensuring data accuracy, performance tracking transparency, and adherence to planning best practices. Share insights with project teams and contractors proactively.
- Consolidate multiple schedule inputs (economic, logistical, environmental concurrently into a cohesive master schedule and generate project/program status reports).
- Provide comprehensive progress reporting to clients, including Integrated Planning/Scheduling updates for monthly project reviews, tailored reports, and presentations.
- Prepare multi-axis strategic views (1-month, 3-month, 6-month lookaheads) from P6 for executive-level monitoring and reporting.
- Perform probabilistic analysis on integrated schedules to assess risks, validate contractor plans, and enhance decision-making.
- Continuously monitor project timelines for deviations, imminent delays, or cost implications, flagging concerns, and recommending timely corrective actions.
- Conduct in-depth schedule analysis, critical path reviews, foreground/background insights, and risk mitigation efforts.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
