Location: Stansted Airport

Laing O'Rourke is delivering a major new phase of work at Stansted Airport, supporting a significant transformation programme that will improve how people travel through one of the UK's busiest airports.
This is an opportunity to lead quality on a high-profile aviation project, influencing how complex infrastructure is delivered safely, efficiently, and right first time.

The Opportunity
This role goes beyond assurance and compliance. You will set the direction for quality across the project, working in partnership with delivery teams, the client, and the supply chain.
You will help create an environment where quality is built in from the start, supporting teams to deliver work they are proud of.
What You Will Be Doing
- Lead and deliver the Project Quality Strategy and Quality Plan
- Act as the senior quality lead across the programme
- Support teams to achieve Right First Time outcomes and reduce rework
- Influence project leaders, client stakeholders, and supply chain partners
- Lead assurance and progressive handover activities
- Use digital tools and data to track performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Drive learning, continuous improvement, and a positive quality culture

What We Are Looking For
We recognise great candidates may come from a variety of backgrounds. If your experience is not an exact match, we would still encourage you to apply.
- Experience leading quality, assurance, or engineering activity on complex projects
- Background in aviation, infrastructure, rail, nuclear, or similar environments (helpful but not essential)
- Strong stakeholder skills and the ability to influence at senior levels
- Understanding of quality systems such as ISO 9001
- Interest in using digital tools and data to improve performance
