Help deliver a project of national importance

Laing O'Rourke is supporting the delivery of the National Biosecurity Centre Programme for DEFRA, a landmark project that will help strengthen the UK's resilience to future biosecurity, animal health and food security challenges.

Initially based from our Paddington project office until the end of 2027, before moving to the Weybridge site, this is a rare opportunity to contribute to a programme that will have a lasting impact on the UK's future. [Design Management | Excel]

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Project Quality Manager who can build trusted relationships, create alignment across diverse teams and help people deliver quality outcomes together.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary project team, you'll play a key role in embedding quality, assurance and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to influence decision-making, shape ways of working and contribute to the success of a nationally significant programme.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading project quality and assurance activities across the programme
  • Building strong partnerships with project teams, suppliers and stakeholders
  • Supporting teams to achieve right-first-time outcomes
  • Using data and insight to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement
  • Supporting governance, compliance and assurance processes
  • Helping shape a positive culture of learning, continuous improvement and collaboration
  • Contributing to the successful delivery and handover of a nationally important facility
