My client is a reputable main contractor, very well established in the market. They have a strong north west pipeline of work which has led them to require to add to their commercial teams.
About the Role
They are looking for a Project Quantity Surveyor who will be a self-motivated individual with proven experience delivering projects between £5 million - £10 million. This could suit an Assistant looking to make the step up to Project Quantity Surveyor.
They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor that has previous experience ideally working for a main building contractor. You will be working with procurement, sub-contractors, cost, and preparation of budgets.
As a business they do work on a variety of schemes, which would give some variety to your job role. They deliver residential, industrial and commercial new builds and extensions. The scheme in mind is a £10 million industrial project new build project.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will have experience of pricing building materials for projects and worked on new build schemes. The successful candidate will be proactive.
Responsibilities
- To attend site and progress meetings as required by the Client.
- To prepare periodic cost reports in agreed format at specified times.
- Taking bills of quantities and using up to date computerised estimating software.
- To prepare Contract documents.
- Monitor development completion requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying.
- To prepare, negotiate, and issue final accounts and final statements.
