Project Quantity Surveyor
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Project Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely with occasional visits to the Merseyside area. The ideal candidate will have strong NEC contract experience, proven experience working for subcontractors in relevant projects, and the capability to work well under pressure. While substation experience is preferred, candidates with civils or cabling backgrounds will also be considered. This position is outside IR35 and is set to begin in the first week of September 2026.

Responsibilities
- Manage and administer NEC contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports.
- Monitor project progress and costs to identify and resolve any issues promptly.
- Conduct periodic site visits to the Merseyside area to support project delivery.
- Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure successful completion within scope, time, and budget.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
- Provide clear and transparent communication to all stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the quantity surveying function.

Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience with NEC contracts is essential.
- Proven experience working for subcontractors on relevant projects.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with substation projects preferred; however, candidates with civils or cabling experience will be considered.
- Strong organizational, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Capable of remote work with reliable access to communication technology.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to the Merseyside area.
- Relevant professional qualifications in Quantity Surveying or related disciplines are highly desirable.
