Project Scheduler

Project Scheduler – Leeds, UK

About the Role

Sulzer’s newly refurbished Leeds facility houses our Advanced Pump Design and Manufacturing Centre of Excellence, where highly engineered, bespoke pumping solutions are designed, built, and delivered for some of the world’s most demanding applications—energy, oil & gas, chemicals, water, nuclear, and heavy industry.

Failure isn’t an option in these environments. Our pumps operate in environments where absolute precision, reliability, and performance are critical. We’re seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to take ownership of planning and scheduling across large, complex engineering projects—with long lead times, multiple workstreams, and intricate dependencies.

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of the project lifecycle, developing and maintaining detailed schedules that align engineering, procurement, manufacturing, testing, and delivery. You thrive in delivering clarity from complexity—a role for someone who enjoys turning chaos into structured success.

Responsibilities

  • Developing, maintaining, and controlling end-to-end project schedules using Microsoft Project
  • Collaborating closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to ensure plans are realistic, integrated, and achievable
  • Managing schedule risk, critical paths, and dependencies across multi-discipline, high-complexity projects
  • Using SAP to track progress, materials, production milestones, and performance
  • Providing clear schedule reporting, forecasts, and insights to support data-driven decision-making
  • Driving continuous improvement in planning standards, tools, and processes

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
