Role Description

We’re looking for a Scheduler to join our UK Defence & Security Sector. You’ll play a key role in mission-critical projects and long-term engagements that will provide a lasting positive impact on the UK’s defence capability.


Role Accountabilities

  • Reviewing and analysing complex construction schedules, and providing opinions, advice, and reports as necessary on:

    • Project progress
    • Predictions of work using scheduling software
  • Managing the Integrated Master Schedule

  • Visiting active construction projects and assessing work progress, confirming progress aligns with:

    • Project schedule
    • Other project records
  • Advising clients on:

    • Actual progress
    • Related cost implications
  • Developing potential recovery plans for time and cost

  • Reviewing and analysing construction claims, and providing opinions, advice, and reports as necessary for:

    • Contractual entitlement assessment
    • Quantification of damages suitable for dispute resolution proceedings, including negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation
  • Developing and maintaining project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Asta Powerproject) with:

    • Critical Path Method techniques
    • Effective project controls
    • Progress tracking
    • Delay analysis
  • Preparing report writing and charts/graphs to support analysis and presentations


Qualifications & Experience

First and foremost, you share our passion for improving the quality of life and take pride in contributing to global change. You should be:

  • Technically capable, with demonstrable experience in a scheduling role
  • Strong in written and verbal communication, with excellent organisational skills
  • Adept at engaging clients and key stakeholders at all levels
  • Able to work under tight deadlines
  • Proficient in:
    • Primavera P6
    • Microsoft Project
    • Asta Powerproject
  • Familiar with NEC contracts
  • Preferable experience:
    • Defence & Security sector
    • Government projects
    • Other major complex projects
  • In-depth knowledge of:
    • Built assets
    • Infrastructure
