The Role:

Ultimately, you’ll work for the British Army, championing innovation, and helping shape the future of military training.
Location: Hybrid, but must be willing to work on site as regularly, primarily at Warminster, but other travel may be required to Raytheon UK offices.
We are looking for a Project Scheduler to provide professional project scheduling and controls support as part of the Raytheon UK Enterprise Performance Group (EPG) for Raytheon UK, deployed to the Omnia Training Team. This includes the generation, analysis and reporting of key schedule and earned value management metrics to support the programme in reporting to facilitate key decision making. Earned Value expertise will be central to the management of the TCIF contract.
We are looking for our team to advocate for and deliver robust project controls, metrics and business intelligence reporting by utilising our various tools to give clear, objective visibility of programme health and we want to build a team passionate about ensuring on time delivery, providing solutions to schedule optimisation challenges and who has a commitment to playing their role in programme delivery and supporting business intelligence and KPI reporting.

Main Duties:
- Develop Programme Integrated Master Schedules (IMS’) ensuring all contractual deliverables have planned activities and that all events and milestones are logically linked and fully resourced with labour hours, material costs, and subcontract payments.
- Manage and update project schedules against a weekly/monthly cycle and provide accurate reporting metrics.
- Learn how to provide detailed analysis of a schedule such as deriving critical paths and performing schedule risk analysis.
- Assist with managing contract changes and ensure they are incorporated into schedule baselines accurately ensuring realistic configuration controlled baseline at all times.
- Learn how to generate, analyse and report Earned Value Management data.
- Support the programmes to develop Programme Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Organisational Breakdown Structures (OBS) and Control Account Structures to enable effective work package management and reporting.
- Support Bid and Proposal activities ranging from developing programme schedules to supporting estimating and pricing teams.
- Develop a consistent application of approved best practice processes and tools across Raytheon UK with the ability to influence decision making and recommend courses of action to recover the schedule where necessary.
- Become a member of the Association of Project Managers (APM).
- Maintain a focused balance between the use of company standard tools and the innovative development of reporting through customised reports in Power BI.

You won’t let bureaucracy get in the way of what needs to be done, you’ll learn lessons and share these lessons across the team. You won’t necessarily have a military background, but you’ll understand what it means to serve and to put the mission first.

Candidate Requirements:
- Working experience of Planning tools (such as MS Project)
- Proactive attitude.
- Analytical logical thinker with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organised, disciplined, methodical, hardworking and a team player.
- Ability to Multi-task.
- A keen interest in technology.
- Able to use the MS Word, Excel and Office applications and the ability to learn new applications.
- Eligible to work in the UK and be able to successfully achieve MoD security clearance.
Desirable
- Experience of working with Microsoft Office Products.
- Experience of working in a projects (IPT) or engineering based environment.
- Experience of working in an office environment.
- Experience with working with MS Project or other planning tools.
- Power BI report generation and maintenance
