Project Support Apprentice (Highways Maintenance Team)
About the Role
Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council has a fantastic opportunity for a Project Support Apprentice to join their Highways Maintenance Team, providing essential administrative support for operational activities and projects.
You will work closely with team members and stakeholders to deliver comprehensive support, including:
- Day-to-day administration
- Stakeholder engagement
- Data management
- Workload monitoring
- Reporting
This role is a fantastic way to develop skills while upskilling through a Level 4 Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support across a range of operational projects
- Assist in stakeholder engagement and communication
- Manage data and electronic filing systems
- Monitor workloads and progress tracking
- Contribute to reporting and maintain operational records
- Play an active role in delivering diverse and meaningful highway projects

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Four GCSEs including English and Maths, or an equivalent Level 2 qualification (or demonstrate equivalent numeracy and literacy skills)
- Experience in providing administrative support
- Experience managing an electronic filing system
- Experience working in a customer-focused environment, including liaising with diverse stakeholders
