📍 Location: Swansea (This role is suitable for hybrid working) 💷 Salary: £35,663 - A Civil Service Pension with an employer contribution of 28.97% 🕘️ Contract Type: Permanent – Full-time 🏆️ Available Positions: 4
As a Project Support Officer, you will be responsible for supporting and managing the delivery of programmes, projects and work streams. You may lead low-risk/low-complexity projects yourself, or form part of a wider team supporting the delivery of larger projects or programmes. The defining aspect of this role is project delivery: you will be dealing with the delivery of change within the organisation and to our customers, so we would love you to bring your experience of delivering change to our team.
You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of delivering digital, technology and business change projects within a well-structured programme environment, using a range of processes, tools and techniques to ensure that the changes that really matter to our customers are delivered effectively and efficiently.
You will work within multi-disciplinary, matrix-managed teams, using detailed planning and collaborative working to help create the right work environment for teams to deliver and achieve successful business outcomes.

Top Responsibilities Planning & Scheduling: Implement and maintain appropriate processes to enable effective planning and scheduling. Monitoring & Reporting: Establish and maintain project controls, keeping the Project Manager aware of the project status. Prepare project performance reports, gathering information from stakeholder and presenting data. Stakeholder Management: Manage professional relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, and act as lead point of contact for some external parties. Draft and sign-off correspondence. Financial Control: Monitor project spend and contribute to the compilation of budgets and the development of the business case. Ensures an accurate asset register is maintained. Risks & Issues: Manage potential risk areas, working with risk managers and escalating as appropriate.

About You To thrive in this role you will have strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate, influence and challenge across all levels. Your leadership skills enable you to bring teams together to deliver positive outcomes.
You have experience in balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity, and enjoy having autonomy in your role, taking the lead in organising and prioritising tasks while being a confident and an independent thinker.
You enjoy managing a varied and challenging workload; having the capability and confidence to not only provide project support for large scale projects but to also take the lead on smaller projects when appropriate.
