Job Description

Please note: at this stage, the role is open only to colleagues currently employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts, the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Medway Community Healthcare. Nursing vacancies are also open to Student Nurses and Newly Qualified Nurses.

This role will support the Assistant Programme Director and Senior Project Manager and the wider Kent and Medway Care Record (KMCR) team on the delivery of the programme.

The post-holder will support the delivery of the KMCR programme through a range of project management activities. This will include working with KMCR partner organisations and stakeholders to deliver the requirements of the programme plan, actively supporting the delivery of projects and programme activities.

Please note, this vacancy does not meet the criteria for skilled worker sponsorship and therefore, we are unable to accept applications from candidates that cannot provide documentary evidence of right to work in the United Kingdom.

You'll facilitate the delivery of project outcomes by being responsible for the co-ordination and implementation of project processes, ensuring these are managed in accordance with targets and agreed timescales. Including communicating business sensitive information in a professional and compassionate manner; especially when there may be barriers to understanding or requires gaining the co-operation of others through tact, negotiation, or persuasive skills. Responsibilities include acting as a first point of contact for complex project enquiries; assessing, resolving, or escalating issues; building relationships with colleagues within the organisation, wider system partners and external organisations and planning, evaluating, and recommending the appropriate use of resources within the project.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You'll ensure the project operates effectively by being responsible for administrative tasks, such as developing project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility, management of project activities and workstreams, developing and maintaining the project library and reporting systems, organising meetings, taking confidential formal minutes, recording clear actions and initiating implementation, co-ordinating and allocating tasks, measuring and analysing project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques, implementing changes to processes where necessary and completion of standard forms, surveys and audits.

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is due to integrate with Medway Community Healthcare on 1 October 2026. Following integration and to align our community services to the new Neighbourhood Model of care delivery, there will be a period of consultation which may result in changes affecting some services, teams or roles. Depending on the area you are applying to work in, this could include potential changes to your role, work base, reporting arrangements, or terms and conditions of employment. Any changes would be subject to consultation and managed sensitively and in line with relevant employment processes. Please do contact the recruiting manager if you have any concerns about this so they can answer any questions you might have.
