Project Support Officer
Location: Reading (3 days per week onsite)
Rate: £270 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract: Initial 3 months (rolling contract)
A Project Support Officer is required to join a major programme within the UK utilities sector. This is an initial 3-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension, offering the opportunity to work on a long-term programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide project support across multiple workstreams.
- Maintain project plans, documentation, RAID logs, and reporting.
- Coordinate meetings, actions, and governance activities.
- Track project progress, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Support Project Managers with planning, reporting, and project administration.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure projects remain on track.

Required Experience
- Previous experience as a Project Support Officer, Project Coordinator, Project Administrator, or similar.
- Experience working within the water, utilities, energy, or infrastructure sectors is essential.
- Strong understanding of project governance and project lifecycles.
- Excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and project management tools such as MS Project or SharePoint.

Contract Details
- £270 per day (Inside IR35)
- Initial 3-month contract with extensions expected
- Hybrid working – 3 days per week onsite in Reading
Candidates must have previous experience supporting projects within the water or wider utilities sector and be available to start at short notice.
