Your new company

Our client is a leading organisation operating within a global, highly regulated financial and commodities market. They are currently undertaking a significant technology modernisation programme and are looking to strengthen their project delivery team with the addition of a PMO / Project Coordinator.

Please note this is NOT a senior position.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders and technology leaders, supporting a complex portfolio of projects designed to enhance systems, processes and overall operational efficiency.

Your new role

As PMO / Project Coordinator, you will play a key role in bringing structure, organisation and visibility to a large-scale technology transformation programme. Reporting directly to the Head of Technology, you will support planning, governance and delivery activities across a diverse range of initiatives.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting programme and project planning activities.
  • Building and maintaining a comprehensive catalogue of technology initiatives, including scope, dependencies and cost information.
  • Organising and maintaining a large backlog of work, ensuring clear prioritisation and structure.
  • Producing high-quality governance packs, programme reports, meeting materials and action logs for senior stakeholders.
  • Maintaining project plans, trackers and reporting packs using Microsoft Excel.
  • Working closely with project managers and technical teams to coordinate delivery activities.
  • Providing support across multiple workstreams while taking ownership of assigned areas.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve reporting, governance and programme processes, including the use of Power BI and other reporting tools where appropriate.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
