Project Surveyor
We are seeking an experienced Project Surveyor to join our team delivering high-quality planned maintenance programmes across social housing stock in the West Midlands. This role is key to ensuring the successful financial and contractual management of multiple workstreams, supporting the delivery of projects to time, budget, and quality standards.
The successful candidate will have proven experience within social housing planned works and will be comfortable working within a high-profile client environment, managing expectations and maintaining strong working relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the commercial aspects of planned works projects from mobilisation through to final account Prepare, monitor, and report on project budgets, forecasts, and cost plans Procure subcontractors and suppliers, including tendering, negotiation, and contract administration Ensure accurate valuation of works, applications for payment, and cost value reconciliation Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities across projects Support operational teams in delivering schemes efficiently and within financial targets Liaise closely with internal stakeholders, clients, and subcontractors to ensure alignment and transparency Produce and present regular commercial reports to senior stakeholders Ensure compliance with company procedures, contractual requirements, and industry standards

Kitchen and bathroom replacements External refurbishment programmes Roofing works and replacements General planned maintenance and upgrades across occupied social housing properties
About You
We're looking for someone who is commercially astute, organised, and confident operating in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
Essential Criteria
Proven experience as a Project Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor within social housing planned works Demonstrable experience managing programmes including kitchens, bathrooms, externals, and roofing Experience working with high-profile clients, with the ability to build strong, professional relationships Strong knowledge of cost control, reporting, and contract management Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Desirable:
Relevant qualification (e.g. HNC/HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar) Knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts Experience within a Tier 1 contractor or social housing maintenance provider
