Project Surveyor
WPS are working with a high-profile social housing client, delivering a brand-new planned works contract across a large housing portfolio.
Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Surveyor to play a key role in the successful mobilisation and ongoing delivery of a multi-stream planned works programme, including:
Kitchens & bathrooms Roofing External works Windows, doors & refurbishment projects
You'll be joining at an exciting stage, helping to shape commercial delivery on a high-value, high-profile contract.
The Role
As a Project Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of planned works projects, ensuring effective control of cost, value, and risk from pre-contract through to final account.
You will work closely with operational teams, the client, and supply chain partners to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Take full commercial ownership of multiple planned workstreams Manage pre and post contract activities, including valuations, variations, and final accounts Price works using Schedule of Rates (SoR) and client frameworks Carry out regular site visits, measurements, and cost validation Procure subcontractors and manage packages through to completion Produce monthly reports, cost/value forecasts, and cash flow tracking Work collaboratively with operational teams to ensure efficient delivery Build strong relationships with the client and key stakeholders
Essential
What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a Project Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor within social housing Strong background in planned maintenance / planned works programmes Experience working across multiple workstreams (e.g. kitchens, bathrooms, roofing, externals) Commercial experience including: Cost control and value management Variations and valuations Final accounts Experience working with Schedule of Rates (SoR) contracts Strong stakeholder and client-facing skills Desirable

Experience working on large-scale or newly mobilised contracts Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management Experience within a main contractor environment
