Project Sustainability Coordinator

Main Duties and Responsibilities (Sustainability Coordinator)
Site & Project Coordination
- Conduct site surveys and impact assessments for new construction projects.
- Undertake construction site inspections and collaborate with project teams to ensure:
- Operational compliance with company procedures
- Projects executed in line with sustained construction plans
Documentation & Compliance
- Draft environmental and sustainability documentation, including:
- Construction environment management plans
- Local value needs assessments
- Pollution incident response plans
- Assist in securing evidence for sustainability certifications and accreditations, such as LEED, BREEAM or equivalent.

Certification Support
- Support project teams in:
- Preparations for Considerate Constructor Scheme visits
- Understanding and achieving sustainability certification requirements
- Designing business cases to maximise targeted certification credits
Supplier & Team Engagement
- Work with supply chain partners to align on and improve project sustainability requirements.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders across the business to:
- Deliver sustainability initiatives
- Drive continuous improvement
Reporting & Strategic Implementation
- Compile sustainability data and prepare internal and external reports.
- Support the Head of ESG in achieving corporate sustainability objectives.
- Lead cost-benefit analysis and prepare business cases for sustainability improvements.
- Develop and share best practice examples within the business.

Awareness & Learning Development
- Design learning resources and materials to enhance environmental and sustainability culture.
- Foster awareness and expertise across the team.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical & Administrative
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience using construction management software.
- Skilled in sustainability assessment and data reporting tools software.
Communication & Collaboration
- Clear, effective verbal communicator.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Licensing & Professional Membership
- Must hold a valid driving licence applicable to the role’s region/country.
- Member (any status) of a professional body linked to ESG/or environment, such as:
- IEMA (Institution of Environmental Management and Assessment)
- IES (Institution of Environmental Sciences)
- Full or Chartered Member of a professional ESG or environmental body preferred.
