Trimble is looking for an operational lead to transform global R&D processes and maximize execution velocity—helping pioneers in AI-driven operations turn high-level strategy into actionable product delivery.

What Makes This Role Exciting
This Project/Programme Execution Manager role—a core operations lead for the Owners & Public Sector Product Organization—will:
- Drive a 30-40% increase in development velocity through AI-Native processes.
- Revolutionise product delivery by embedding AI-synthesized dependency mapping and measuring automated code generation.
- Align product strategy with business goals through annual business plans, growth bridges, and OKRs.
Key Responsibilities

AI-Native PDLC Transformation
- Lead the transition to an AI-Native Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) and automate dependency mapping.
- Measure and refine AI-driven code generation and production workflows.

Strategic Business Planning & Execution
- Aggregate annual business plans and growth strategies for diverse product lines.
- Define measurable OKRs (Objectives & Key Results) in collaboration with leadership, sales, and finance teams.

PMO Governance & Agile Delivery
- Establish and govern the PMO structure to facilitate Quarterly Portfolio Reviews.
- Monitor grangular milestones and anticipate risks with early warning systems.

Operational Excellence & Process Standardisation
- Standardise the New Product Introduction (NPI) process across marketing, sales, and support teams.
- Foster cross-functional alignment between development and business functions.

Innovation Culture & AI Enablement
- Cultivate a culture where teams leverage AI tools for market research, story generation, and prototyping.
- Enable teams to test, analyse, and validate AI-powered efficiency gains.
Skills & Experience
Essential Qualifications:
✔ 8+ years of experience in program management, product management, or business operations, with track record in complex portfolio scalability. ✔ Ability to identify and resolve intricate R&D dependencies—think strategically and operationally. ✔ Financial acumen to synthesise data-driven insights for budgeting, forecasting, and critical decision-making. ✔ Ability to influence cross-functional teams including Product Management, UX, and Engineering leads.

Highly Desirable:
✅ Experience implementing AI-based productivity tools (Cursor, Claude, etc.) to enhance workflow efficiency. ✅ Hands-on validation of AI-driven metrics (product delivery speed, defect reduction, process optimisation).
Logistics
- Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne – Office-based, 4 days a week
- Travel Requirement: ~10%
