Customer Documentation Specialist

Manchester, Wythenshawe (Hybrid working)

As the Customer Documentation Specialist, you will be responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining accurate and comprehensive project documentation throughout the project lifecycle. The role ensures that all documentation is clearly structured, version-controlled, and accessible to stakeholders, supporting effective project delivery and compliance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, maintain, and submit project documentation including:
    • Project plans
    • Requirements documents
    • Process workflows
    • Technical specifications
    • User guides and manuals
  • Completing and coordinating customer questionnaires
  • Ensuring documentation is consistent, clear, and aligned with organizational standards and templates
  • Managing document version control and maintaining document repositories
  • Collaborating with project managers, stakeholders, and technical teams to gather accurate information
  • Reviewing and updating documentation throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensuring all documentation is stored securely and is easily accessible
  • Supporting audits and compliance processes by maintaining accurate records
  • Assisting in the preparation of reports, presentations, and project updates
  • Attending project progress meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Implementing and improving documentation processes and tools

Qualifications + Profile

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Collating all approved documentation into a clear and user-friendly Final Data Dossier
  • Proficiency in documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, SharePoint, PDF, Docboss)
  • Knowledge of document management and version control practices
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills
