Help improve health and social care across North Yorkshire by making sure people's voices are heard.
Healthwatch North Yorkshire is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and self-motivated Projects & Engagement Officer to join its small, supportive team.
If you enjoy meeting people, listening to their experiences and turning what they tell you into meaningful change, Healthwatch would love to hear from you.
What you'll do
- Design and deliver projects across North Yorkshire.
- Speak with people in communities and online about their experiences of health and social care.
- Make sure projects reach a wide range of people, particularly those whose voices are less often heard.
- Analyse feedback and write reports with recommendations.
- Visit community groups, meetings and events across the county.
- Work with volunteers to help deliver projects.
- Build positive working relationships with the NHS, North Yorkshire Council, voluntary organisations and community groups.
- Help make sure people's experiences are used to improve local health and social care.

What Healthwatch is looking for
We're looking for someone who has:
- Experience of designing or delivering projects.
- Experience of speaking with people from different communities.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- The ability to analyse feedback and identify key themes.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage several priorities.
- A passion for improving health and social care.
What Healthwatch offer
- Salary: £28,800
- 37 hours per week
- Hybrid working (Harrogate office twice a week, home and travel across North Yorkshire)
- Fixed-term until 31 March 2028
- 28 days' annual leave plus bank holidays
- 5% employer pension contribution

- Time off in lieu for occasional evening and weekend work
- Travel expenses reimbursed for work-related travel across North Yorkshire (excluding travel to and from the Harrogate office).
