Projects Solicitor (4+ PQE) Location: Edinburgh Firm: L500 Projects Team | Global Platform Salary: Generous Salary + Bonus + Exceptional Benefits
The Role & The Work Join a L500 ranked Planning team known for delivering complex, high-value work across energy, transport and infrastructure. You will advise on projects that don’t just make headlines but actively contribute to the UK’s journey to net zero and beyond.
From major infrastructure developments and transport projects to cutting-edge energy transition work, including offshore wind, hydrogen and carbon capture, you will advise across the full lifecycle of projects. You’ll work with a broad mix of clients, from government bodies and institutional investors to global energy players, often on matters that are being done for the first time.
You will be front-facing with clients, involved in strategic decision-making and encouraged to develop your own relationships from an early stage. The team operates as one across jurisdictions, giving you exposure to cross-border work and international collaboration as standard.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
