Role Description
The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects meet the required standards for quality, safety, and timelines. This full-time, on-site role is based in Rowlands Castle, involving:
- Managing subcontractors, coordinating site activities, and maintaining clear communication with:
- Project Managers
- Clients
- Wider project teams
- Monitoring progress against programme milestones
- Managing site resources and logistics
- Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting site inspections and quality assurance checks
- Promptly resolving issues while maintaining project momentum
- Keeping accurate records, reports, and documentation
- Fostering a collaborative, solutions-driven culture on site
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience & Knowledge
- Proven experience in site management or a comparable construction supervisory role (preferably in commercial or residential projects).
- Strong grasp of construction processes, building regulations, and health and safety standards, including:
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
- CSCS card or equivalent accreditation
- Ability to:
- Coordinate subcontractors
- Manage schedules
- Oversee site logistics for efficient project delivery

Skills & Competencies
- Effective communication and leadership, with skills to:
- Build positive working relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners.
- Technical proficiency:
- Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
- Using project management and reporting tools
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive, solutions-focused approach to resolving site issues.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality, backed by a track record of delivering successful projects.
- Competence using basic digital tools for site management.
Education & Certifications
- A relevant construction-related qualification preferred, such as:
- NVQ
- HNC/HND
- Degree in Construction Management or a related field.
Location & Mobility
- Full UK driving licence required.
- Flexibility to travel and work across construction sites in the South of England.
