Key Responsibilities
As a Promoting Independence Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals aged 17.5 years and above for up to 12 weeks, using a strengths-based approach. Your primary focus will be on:
- Delivering reablement-focused programmes to help people regain daily living skills.
- Identifying opportunities for independence and linking individuals to appropriate community services.
- Promoting social inclusion by fostering participation in community activities.
- Providing tailored information, advice, and short-term support to individuals and their carers.
- Maintaining and monitoring accurate records of support provided.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes for service users.

Essential Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- A relevant health or social care qualification (preferably NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- At least two years’ experience in care work (paid, voluntary, or personal).
- Knowledge of community care services and legislation, including:
- The Care Act 2014
- Proficiency in IT applications (e.g., record-keeping and reporting tools).
