Bookkeeper - Guildford - £35,000 - £50,000 DOE

Our client, a growing commercial property management and asset management business are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. The company specialises in acquiring, managing and enhancing commercial property assets, with a focus on delivering long-term value through proactive asset management and strong tenant relationships.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration of a commercial property portfolio, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records across a portfolio of commercial properties. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Manage rental income, service charge accounts Reconcile bank accounts, client accounts and supplier statements. Monitor rent collections and assist with arrears reporting. Process invoices, payments, and expense claims. Prepare journals, accruals, and prepayments as required. Produce monthly management reports and financial summaries. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Support year-end accounting processes and liaise with external accountants. Respond to financial queries from tenants and suppliers. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company procedures and accounting standards. Use Re-Leased to export data, create reports and manage property portfolio efficiently General office manager duties as and when required

Previous bookkeeping experience within property Strong working knowledge of Xero Experience using Re-Leased property management system preferable Experience working on service charge accounts Strong Microsoft Excel skills Excellent attention to detail and highly organised
