Job Title: Property Bridging Finance Solicitor

About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Property Bridging Finance Solicitor to join a highly regarded Property Finance team in London.
The successful candidate will advise on a broad range of bridging finance and secured lending transactions, acting primarily for lenders, borrowers, investors, and developers. You will manage your own caseload of matters from instruction through to completion, working on fast-paced transactions while providing commercially focused legal advice and exceptional client service.
This role is ideal for a solicitor with a strong background in property finance who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys building long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a varied caseload of bridging finance and property finance transactions from instruction through to completion.
- Advising lenders, borrowers, developers, and investors on secured lending matters.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating loan agreements, legal charges, debentures, guarantees, and security documentation.
- Conducting and reviewing title investigations, searches, and due diligence.
- Advising on security structures and identifying legal risks.
- Liaising with clients, brokers, valuers, surveyors, accountants, and other solicitors throughout transactions.
- Negotiating transaction documents and satisfying conditions precedent.
- Coordinating completions and overseeing all post-completion formalities, including Land Registry applications and Companies House registrations where required.
- Ensuring compliance with lender requirements, regulatory obligations, and internal risk procedures.
- Supporting business development initiatives and helping to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Supervising and mentoring junior solicitors, paralegals, and support staff where appropriate.

Essential Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with experience in property finance, banking, or real estate finance.
- Demonstrable experience handling bridging finance and secured lending transactions.
- Ability to independently manage a caseload of matters from instruction through to post-completion.
- Strong knowledge of property law, security documentation, and lending practices.
- Experience acting for lenders, borrowers, or both.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to provide pragmatic legal advice.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Skills
- Experience advising specialist bridging lenders or challenger banks.
- Knowledge of development finance and commercial property finance.
- Existing professional relationships with lenders, brokers, or property professionals.
- Experience supervising junior team members.
