Property Portfolio & Asset Management Assistant
This role would suit a letting/sales agent, property graduate (with or without APC aspirations), property/asset manager or anyone with a positive attitude to work and a desire to advance their professional development.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring property enthusiast to join a dynamic team actively managing a portfolio of residential and commercial properties across the UK.
Do you have the passion and energy to become an integral part of the team and gain invaluable experience & knowledge in how to maximise the value of property assets and ultimately dispose of them efficiently?
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily management of a property portfolio
- Coordinate the repossession process, including:
- Managing involvement with bailiffs
- Coordinating with estate agents
- Handling insurance claims
- Arranging cleaning, security and property maintenance
- Organise repairs, maintenance and statutory inspections, ensuring works are completed within agreed timescales
- Monitor contractor performance and process work orders
- Collate and maintain accurate records, including:
- Property records
- Tenancy information
- Compliance documentation
- Support budgeting, invoice processing and expenditure tracking
- Coordinate with agents for valuations, review terms & conditions
- Manage action logs and track progress
- Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation, including:
- Fire risk assessments
- Asbestos management
- Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs)
- Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)
- Gas safety checks
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets and management information for senior management
- Support property disposals by instructing lawyers on legal documentation and deal progression
- Build and maintain strong relationships with:
- Customers
- Estate agents
- Solicitors
- Receivers
- Other stakeholders
- Undertake general administrative support for the Asset Management team

Skills & Competencies
- Preferred (but not essential):
- Previous experience in property management, estate agency, asset management or property administration
- Understanding of landlord and tenant legislation
- Knowledge of residential and/or commercial property management
- Possibility of working towards a professional qualification (e.g., RICS)
