Property Inventory Clerk

Location: Southend on Sea Brand: Leaders Salary: £13,220 Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–1pm

Job Summary

Reporting to the Team Manager/Head of Centre, Leaders is seeking a Property Inventory Clerk to join our dedicated and dynamic team in Southend on Sea. Experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.

As a Property Inventory Clerk, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting detailed Inventory reports to ensure a smooth check-in/check-out process for tenants and landlords.
  • Performing mid-term inspections to maintain properties in the highest possible condition.
  • Working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Arrange and book property inspections with tenants (average: 4-5 inspections or 2-3 inventories per day).
  • Confirm visit details before attending sites.
  • Collect and return keys from local offices.
  • Conduct inspections, ensuring checks of:
    • External condition of properties.
    • Communal areas (if applicable).
    • Internal condition.
    • Compliance with current legislation.
    • Risk assessments.
  • Complete inspection reports and approval process.
  • Feed back any maintenance issues to the property manager.
  • Submit reports to both landlords and tenants, including a written summary. Call ahead if issues are noted.
  • Diarise follow-ups for the property manager.

What We Are Looking For

  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
  • Ability and confidence to work independently.
  • Strong organisational skills, time management and attention to detail.
  • A full UK Driving License is required.
