Experienced Property Lawyer/ Conveyancer (Part-Time, Flexible Hours)
Please note that this position is being recruited for by Richer Sounds on behalf of JR Properties.
Location: Manchester (Office-Based)
Hours: 16-40 hours per week
Salary: £40,000-£50,000+ (FTE), depending on experience.
JR Properties manages a portfolio of commercial and residential properties across the UK. We are looking for an experienced Conveyancing Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Senior Conveyaning Consultant to join our property team on a flexible, part-time basis.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with significant conveyancing experience who is looking for greater flexibility, a reduced caseload, or a role that draws on their expertise without the pressures often associated with private practice.
We welcome applications from experienced lawyers looking for flexibility, whether following a successful career in private practice, in-house, or other legal environments. We are happy to accommodate a range of working patterns, from a minimum of two days per week up to full-time hours for the right person.
About the Role:
Working as part of our established property management team, you will provide practical legal expertise and support the progression of a range of residential and commercial property transactions. This role focuses on ensuring transactions progress smoothly and compliantly while working closely with colleagues, external solicitors and other stakeholders. It offers the opportunity to use your experience in a supportive environment where quality, judgement and attention to detail are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:
- Managing property sales and purchases from instruction through to completion.
- Reviewing contracts, title documents and legal documentation.
- Raising and responding to enquiries.
- Liaising with solicitors, agents, lenders and internal stakeholders.
- Calculating completion statements, SDLT and related legal costs.
- Ensuring regulatory and compliance requirements are met.
- Providing guidance and technical support on conveyancing matters.
- Supporting wider property management activities as required.
About You:
We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have extensive conveyancing experience and can work independently while providing sound, practical advice. You may be:

- A qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Legal Executive.
- At a stage in your career where you'd like to practice property law in a friendly, supportive environment with flexibility and without unnecessary pressure.
- Someone with substantial conveyancing experience gained in private practice or an in-house environment.
