Property Maintenance Manager Location: Delta Hotels by Marriott Waltham Abbey

About the Role We believe in creating memorable experiences for our guests and our associates. You’ll be responsible for ensuring all maintenance work is completed to Marriott’s standards, supporting your team, and maintaining productivity across all projects. Key Responsibilities

Oversee the management of the hotel’s physical plant, including:
- Equipment maintenance
- Refrigeration systems
- HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning)
- Plumbing and water treatment
- Electrical systems
- Life safety systems

Prioritise and execute maintenance work based on urgency, guest impact, compliance requirements, and operational health and safety.

Coordinate planned preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure seamless operations.

Be a visible and proactive presence in the hotel, fostering strong inter-departmental relationships and collaborating with department heads.

Stay technically compliant with all legal requirements, fire safety standards, hygiene regulations, and Company policies (fire, health, and safety).

Arrange, schedule, and manage:
- Annual and quarterly service contracts (fire systems, emergency lighting, boiler servicing)
- Water systems audits

Supervise and support team engagement and communication while mentoring the maintenance team.

Establish, manage, and optimise a rooms maintenance program for efficiency and effectiveness.

Budget management: Monitor and control the department’s controllable expenses to meet or exceed budget targets.

Assist with planning and evaluation of preventative maintenance programs.

Manage and coordinate external contractors while onsite.
Safety & Compliance
- Strict adherence to company and security policies.
- Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions promptly.
- Complete mandatory safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and uniform.
- Ensure confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Promote clear and professional communication within the team.
- Foster positive working relationships and encourage collaboration.
