Property Maintenance Manager – Dorset Council
About the Role
I’m partnering with Dorset Council to appoint a Property Maintenance Manager to join its Assets & Property team during an exciting period of transformation and investment.
This is a key leadership role responsible for maintaining and improving Dorset Council’s operational estate, including:
- Offices
- Libraries
- Depots
- Front-line service buildings
Leading a team of Repairs & Maintenance Surveyors, you’ll ensure assets remain safe, compliant, and fit for purpose while driving improvements in maintenance performance and asset condition.

Key Responsibilities
- Leading a team of property and maintenance professionals
- Managing planned and reactive maintenance programmes
- Ensuring statutory compliance and building safety across the estate
- Overseeing contractor and consultant performance
- Managing budgets and maintenance investment programmes
- Reducing maintenance backlog and improving asset performance
- Supporting Dorset Council’s long-term asset strategy and sustainability objectives
Requirements
Ideal candidates will have:
- Experienced property professionals from backgrounds including:
- Building Surveying
- Estates Management
- Property Maintenance
- Asset Management
- Facilities Management
