Hands-On Property Management Assistant – Manchester

Location

Manchester 🔹 Must hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on, proactive, and highly organized Property Management Assistant based in Manchester. In this role, you will be the backbone of our property operations, responsible for:

  • Managing the end-to-end maintenance workflow
  • Performing basic hands-on repairs
  • Coordinating third-party contractors
  • Executing field inspections (Snagging, Mid-term, Check-in/Check-out)

You will work closely with the Tenant Coordinator (TC) to ensure seamless property upkeep and high tenant satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

1. Maintenance Management & Hands-on Repair

  • Diagnose and resolve basic household issues (plumbing, locks, minor electrical work, furniture assembly)
  • Execute repair work efficiently with minimal disruption
  • Effectively manage the maintenance backlog

2. Inspections, Pre-Rent & Compliance Reports

  • Conduct Snagging lists and Move-in/Move-out inspections
  • Prepare compliance documentation for lets and renewals
  • Report findings accurately in predefined formats

3. Vendor & Internal Collaboration

  • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Tenant Coordinator, Property Management)
  • Liaise with external tradespeople to ensure timely repairs
  • Maintain clear communication with tenants via email/telephone

Requirements & Qualifications

Technical Skills & Experience

🔹 Driving: Valid UK driving licence (required) + access to a reliable vehicle 🔹 Handyman Skills: Proven ability to perform diagnostic repairs in plumbing, locks, minor electrics, and furniture assembly 🔹 Software Proficiency: Experienced in property management systems, Google Sheets/Excel, and cloud storage (e.g., Property Drive) 🔹 Experience: Previously managed property maintenance, tenant files, or inventory in the UK residential sector (highly desirable)
