Property Management Surveyor / Senior Property Management Surveyor 📍 Edinburgh, Scotland
We are recruiting a Property Management Surveyor / Senior Property Management Surveyor to join a well-established commercial property team in Edinburgh. This role will involve managing a portfolio of commercial properties, delivering commercially focused advice to clients, and ensuring assets are managed efficiently, compliantly, and in line with client objectives. The position is predominantly office-based, although some flexibility may be available for the right individual. Regular attendance at client meetings, inspections, and property matters will be required.
The Role You will be responsible for: Managing a portfolio of commercial properties across office, retail, industrial, and mixed-use assets Building and maintaining strong relationships with landlords, tenants, occupiers, contractors, and professional advisers Delivering a high standard of day-to-day property management service Coordinating planned and reactive maintenance works with contractors and facilities providers Managing service charge budgets, expenditure, reconciliations, and reporting Undertaking regular property inspections and identifying issues requiring action Ensuring compliance with lease obligations, legislation, and property management best practice Liaising with internal teams and external consultants to deliver effective property solutions Providing practical and commercially focused advice to clients Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate Assisting with property instructions across the wider Central Belt when required

About You Previous experience within commercial property management Background in consultancy, managing agent, landlord-side, asset management, investor portfolio, or commercial real estate environments Ability to manage multiple properties and client relationships independently Strong understanding of landlord and tenant matters, service charge management, contractor management, and compliance requirements Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Strong organisational, prioritisation, and problem-solving ability Commercially minded with sound judgement and attention to detail Based in Edinburgh or able to commute reliably

Desirable Experience MRICS qualified or working towards chartership MCIOB or similar professional accreditation Commercial consultancy or managing agent background Experience mentoring graduates or junior surveyors Knowledge of the Scottish commercial property market Experience working across assets throughout Edinburgh, Glasgow, or the wider Central Belt
