Property Manager - Engineering Electrical Morrisons – Fieldhead Road, Leeds
About the Role
At Morrisons, we’re more than just a supermarket. We’re food makers and shopkeepers, and our estate forms the backbone of everything we do. From bustling stores to manufacturing and logistics hubs, our property portfolio is vast, dynamic, and highly complex.
We’re looking for a technically astute and commercially minded* Property Manager - Engineering Electrical to lead our electrical systems strategy.
Reporting to the Senior Property Manager for Group Energy, Engineering and Convenience, you will take national accountability for the compliance, efficiency, and reliability of our electrical systems.
This is a subject matter expert role focused on the strategic engineering lifecycle, compliance, and capital investment across the UK property portfolio—not a reactive repair position.
Your responsibilities will span:
- Driving multi-million-pound capital budgets.
- Spearheading national energy-saving initiatives.
- Ensuring 100% legal compliance across our entire estate.
You will be the go-to technical expert for the entire business, ensuring maximum efficiency and long-term future-readiness of our electrical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
-
Strategic Asset Management
- Develop and enforce national electrical specifications, maintenance schedules, and capital expenditure (CapEx) programs.
- Maximise asset lifecycle and reliability while driving cost-efficient upgrades.
-
Compliance & Safety Leadership
- Ensure full legal compliance with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations), Electricity at Work Regulations, and broader Health & Safety standards.
- Act as the primary safeguard for national electrical safety.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
