Self-Employed Property Operations & Housekeeping Assistant

Location: Kent (travel between properties required)

Pay: £16.00–£18.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Hours: Guaranteed 8 hours per week with regular overtime opportunities

Bellaco Property specialises in professional short-let and serviced accommodation management across Kent. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional standards for both our property owners and guests, ensuring every property is presented to the highest standard.

As our portfolio continues to grow, we're looking for a reliable, proactive and experienced Property Operations & Housekeeping Assistant to join our team on a self-employed basis.

About the Role

This is much more than a cleaning role. You'll play a key part in ensuring our properties are guest-ready, well maintained and consistently presented to a high standard.

You'll be trusted to work independently, identify issues before they become problems and communicate effectively with our management team.

What Success Looks Like

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver consistently high cleaning standards.
  • Prepare every property to hotel-quality presentation.
  • Complete all scheduled cleans on time.
  • Wash, dry and prepare laundry to a high standard.
  • Identify and report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Maintain excellent communication with the management team.
  • Represent Bellaco Property professionally at all times.
  • Take pride in every property they manage.

Responsibilities

  • Complete scheduled changeover and deep cleans.
  • Wash, dry, iron (where required) and prepare all laundry.
  • Restock guest consumables and welcome items.
  • Carry out property inspections before guest arrivals.
  • Report maintenance issues with photographs.
  • Complete small basic maintenance tasks where appropriate (such as replacing light bulbs, tightening fittings or resetting appliances).
  • Liaise with management regarding urgent property issues.
  • Attend occasional emergency call-outs outside normal working hours (additional hourly rate applies).
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are maintained.
  • Follow Bellaco Property cleaning checklists and procedures.
  • Take before and after photographs of every clean.
  • Report any damage, missing items or health and safety concerns immediately.

  • Previous professional cleaning or housekeeping experience.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Reliable, trustworthy and punctual.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Flexible approach to working hours.
  • Comfortable using WhatsApp and smartphone apps for reporting.
  • Willingness to travel between properties across Kent.
  • Public Liability Insurance.
  • Self-employed status.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience within serviced accommodation, hotels or Airbnb properties.
  • Basic maintenance or handyman experience.
  • Linen management experience.
  • Inventory checking experience.
  • Customer service experience.
