Property Paralegal
At Duncan & Toplis Legal Services, we’re continuing to invest in our people and services as part of an ambitious period of growth. We’re now looking for a Commercial Property Paralegal who wants to play a meaningful role in delivering high-quality client outcomes and developing their career in a forward-thinking environment.
This opportunity is ideal for someone currently working in Legal Services environment who is looking for greater exposure, responsibility and long-term progression.
Property experience is essential for this role. Please only apply if you have proven, hands-on experience within a legal services environment, specifically involving property matters.
We are seeking a candidate with practical expertise in property law who can demonstrate a strong track record of handling property-related work from start to finish. Experience in Commercial Property and/or Agricultural Property is highly desirable, alongside a solid background in Conveyancing.
The successful applicant will be comfortable managing their own workload, working accurately under pressure, and delivering high-quality service to clients. You will have a thorough understanding of relevant legal processes, documentation, and compliance requirements, and be confident liaising with clients, agents, and other professionals to progress matters efficiently.

What You’ll Be Doing As a Property Paralegal, you will be expected to have a solid grounding in both commercial and residential property transactions. Experience of residential conveyancing as well as commercial property and small business transactions is essential along with purchase/sale transaction and leases. In addition to handling your own case load of files you will be expected to provide support to other members of the team and to aid in business development.

Help in communication advise to clients, solicitors, agents and lenders on all aspects of Property matters. Preparation and drafting of all documents in relation to property matters. Being able to see a matter from the opening of a file to closure of a file. Deal with SDLT and post completion work Work independently and confidentiality. Support solicitors with more complex matters as needed Be prepared to travel as required to clients and other offices. Follow up new leads Contribute to the marketing of the Legal Services Team
What You’ll Need to Succeed We’re looking for someone with: 3 - 5 years equivalent experience. Property experiance is mandatory Ability to draft documentation accurately with attention to detail. Must be a good communicator and able to demonstrate effective client inter-personal skills. Must be able to actively manage own workloads and take responsibility for own development.
