About the Role
Are you detail-oriented with a knack for managing property-related matters? Do you enjoy research-based tasks and working in a diverse environment where you work with surveyors, landowners, and engineers? Are you adept at liaising between teams and ensuring smooth communication channels? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!
We are currently seeking a proactive and organized Property Support Assistant to join our Compulsory Purchase and Land Assembly team in Chelmsford. In this role, you will be responsible for working with our surveyors to undertake a range of tasks which include researching evidence for property transactions, liaising with landowners to agree licenses for highways works, and preparing a schedule of information to update clients.
Previous property experience preferred but not essential. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who enjoys challenging property tasks and works well within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- To undertake work related to property instructions within the region. This will include following due processes and procedures required in a diligent and positive manner.
- To operate with a degree of flexibility and independence within this area, whilst also enjoying the support of the rest of the team.
- To seek to take instructions forward as the direct client contact.
- To provide professional, high-quality information/reports to the client.
- To manage relationships with clients and others in the local property market.
- To continually strive to improve working practices and client service delivery for the whole team.
- To represent LSH and the full range of property-related services available to clients.
- Any other duties commensurate with this level of post.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Strong command of written English and ability to write schedules/reports with a high degree of accuracy.
- Computer Literacy, specifically Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel.
- Must have a driver's license to visit/inspect sites (where required).
- Communication and negotiation skills.
- Customer-focused, with confidence and respect for clients.
- Undertake research activities such as property transactions, market trends, etc.
- Capable presenter, with good communication and presentation skills.
- Presents a professional image when dealing with clients and other external parties, e.g., landowners, property agents, etc.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, enthusiastic, reliable, and personable.
- Team player.
- Good at prioritizing tasks that need to be done and managing a varied workload with competing demands.
- Understands and listens to others' requirements.
- Demonstrates cooperation and willingness to work with others.
- Prior experience in property is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of access licenses and property transactions and property documents is a plus.
