Estate Agency Valuer

Location: Lower Earley, Reading

Salary: £35,000 basic, OTE £50,000

Hours: Full time, one in four Saturdays

The opportunity

A well established and respected estate agency based in Lower Earley, Reading is looking to recruit an ambitious and driven Estate Agency Valuer to join their sales team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident valuer who enjoys winning new business, building relationships, and converting valuations into instructions. You will play a key role in driving growth for the branch and representing the business within the local market.

The role

As a Valuer, you will be responsible for generating new opportunities, carrying out valuations and listings, and negotiating offers between vendors and buyers. This is a front facing, target driven role that suits someone who thrives in a fast paced environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service.

Working hours

As of July, working hours have been reduced to an approximate 48 hour, 5 day week, structured as follows:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 6pm
  • One in four Saturdays, 9am to 4pm
  • An additional day off during the week (Wednesday) when working a Saturday

Key responsibilities

  • Identifying and maximising new business opportunities
  • Carrying out property valuations and winning instructions
  • Booking and conducting property viewings
  • Delivering exceptional customer service both over the phone and face to face
  • Working towards and achieving personal and branch targets
  • Negotiating and agreeing offers between vendors and buyers
  • Representing the business professionally at all times
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with local property owners and investors

About you

To succeed in this role, you will be ambitious, hardworking, and target driven, with a genuine passion for property and people.

You will also:

  • Be comfortable working under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Have strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Possess good knowledge of the local property market
  • Enjoy working with the public both over the phone and face to face
  • Be results focused and motivated to succeed
  • Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
  • Have access to your own vehicle

What's on offer
