About You
My client is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and RICS-qualified Surveyor to join their expanding team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for conducting residential valuations and surveys that support mortgage lending decisions, ensuring precise reporting and delivering outstanding service to both clients and consumers. Candidates with a background in building surveying are also encouraged to apply, as my client is keen to explore diverse expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct RICS Level 1 and Level 2 (HomeBuyer) surveys, as appropriate.
- Prepare mortgage valuation reports for a broad range of lender clients, including Purchase, Buy-to-Let (BTL), Multi-Unit Freehold Blocks (MUFB), HMOs, and Self-Build properties.
- Ensure all reports comply with RICS Red Book standards and meet specific lender requirements.
- Utilise the in-house technology platform to efficiently manage, record, and submit casework.
- Consistently deliver high-quality service and meet turnaround times in line with agreed SLAs.
- Provide clear, concise, and expert advice and recommendations to clients.
- Comply with all relevant regulatory and compliance frameworks, including RICS and lender panel guidelines.
- Act as a professional representative of my client, consistently reflecting the company’s values in all interactions.

Key Requirements
- MRICS or AssocRICS qualification – Essential
- VRS registration – Essential
- Proven experience in residential valuation and/or surveying
- Strong knowledge of property construction, building defects, and valuation methodologies
- Excellent time management and organisational abilities
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while supporting and contributing to broader team objectives
- Proficient in surveyor reporting software and mobile technology, including iPad, CoreLogic, and Quest

My client operates all over the UK with specific vacancies in the following areas:
- Plymouth (current base of PL14) – FULL TIME
- Peterborough (PE13-15, or PE19 base) – PART TIME (4 days)
- Camberley/Bracknell/Woking – PART TIME/FULL TIME (4 days)
- Swindon (East base) – PART TIME (4 days)
- Cambridgeshire (CB) – PART TIME (4 days)/FULL TIME
- Southampton (SO) – FULL TIME
- Reading (RG) – FULL TIME
- Oxfordshire – (OX) – FULL TIME
- Cumbria (CA – Whitehaven and surrounding ideally) – PART TIME (3-4 days)/CONS
- Chelmsford/Colchester (CM/CO) – FULL TIME
- South Wales (Cardiff base) – PART TIME/FULL TIME/CONS
- Bournemouth (ideally BH31/SP6) – PART TIME/FULL TIME/CONS
The role will be home-based with all valuations carried out within a 25-mile radius of your home. This is a well-paid position with a bonus structure in place, too.
