GHT Proposal Engineer – Global High Tech (GHT) Team

At Ecolab, we are seeking a GHT Proposal Engineer to join our Global High Tech (GHT) team, where you will play a pivotal role in developing technical and commercial proposals for industrial and high-tech water treatment projects.

About the Role

You will collaborate closely with General Contractors (GCs), EPC/EPCM firms, and internal stakeholders to:

  • Define project scope
  • Prepare detailed cost estimations
  • Optimise EPC/EPCM execution models
  • Bridge technical and commercial alignment

This role blends engineering expertise and commercial insight, directly influencing project success from proposal to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

1. Proposal & Tender Management

  • Analyse RFQs, technical specs, and customer requirements from GCs and EPCs
  • Define scopes, deadlines, and work boundaries—coordinating between process, packages, civils, piping, E&I, and construction
  • Work with CAM/BDM teams to clarify deliverables and timelines
  • Prepare technical narratives, BOQs, scope descriptions, and clarifications aligned with tender frameworks
  • Ensure full technical compliance via coordination with internal engineering

2. Costing Development & Financial Leadership

  • Develop detailed BOQs for tender-related deliverables (process equipment, packages, and supporting systems)
  • Quantify equipment, materials, and services using PFDs, P&IDs, layouts, and tender specs
  • Build and validate CAPEX and installation cost estimates in collaboration with procurement and engineering
  • Align BOQs with GC cost breakdown structures and tender requirements

3. Technical Solution Definition

  • Recommend technology/equipment solutions meeting client, GC, and regulatory standards
  • Identify risk exclusions, assumptions, and interface management
  • Support risk assessment and value engineering alternatives as requested by clients

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
