Are you a highly organised bid and proposal professional looking for your next challenge? Level Peaks Associates is seeking an experienced Proposal Manager to join their Business Development team in Hereford.
About the Role
As Proposal Manager, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end bid and proposal lifecycle — from opportunity qualification through to contract award. Working closely with technical, commercial and operational teams, you'll ensure every submission is professionally managed, fully compliant, commercially robust and delivered on time.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on structure, deadlines and quality, and who wants to play a key role in supporting Level Peaks' continued growth. Where business priorities require, you may also provide project coordination and administrative support to live programmes, drawing on the same planning and organisational skills you bring to bid management.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing multiple concurrent bids and proposals, developing bid plans, submission schedules and resource plans
- Coordinating contributions from technical, commercial, finance, operations and partner organisations
- Chairing kick-off meetings, progress reviews and submission reviews
- Leading the production of high-quality proposal documentation, including drafting, editing and refining content
- Producing compliance matrices and ensuring all mandatory and contractual requirements are addressed
- Conducting final compliance and quality assurance checks prior to submission
- Supporting capture planning, competitor research and market opportunity analysis
- Maintaining the company's bid library, case studies, CV database and past performance information
- Providing project coordination support during mobilisation or live programme delivery, where required

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
