Senior Proposal Development Specialist – Business Development

The Role

This position plays a critical role in business development, managing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and delivering tailored solutions for Emerald Clinical’s clients. Responsibilities include interdisciplinary collaboration, end-to-end proposal management, and ensuring final deliverables meet both client and company standards.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and write strategic proposals aligned with client needs and company capabilities.
  • Lead the overall RFP process, ensuring timelines, quality, and scope compliance.
  • Collaborate with SMEs, sales teams, and cross-functional colleagues to gather and refine proposal content.
  • Maintain compliance with client RFP guidelines and internal/external submission protocols.
  • Update proposal templates, databases, and best practices for continuous improvement.
  • Lead proposal workflows, including meetings, deadlines, and stakeholder updates.
  • Review and polish proposals for clarity, accuracy, and persuasiveness.
  • Manage multiple RFPs simultaneously, prioritizing delivery and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Analyse proposal performance to refine future approaches.

About You

We’re seeking a Self-Driven Proposal Specialist with:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in CRO proposal management (5+ years ideal).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with attention to detail.
  • Strength in project management, multitasking, and deadline-driven delivery.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and proposal software.
  • Strategic problem-solving and persuasive editing skills.
