Proposition Manager

Salary Range: £44,389 – £58,709
About the Role
The Proposition Manager will play a key role in developing and managing customer propositions that align with the rail industry’s strategic objectives. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including Train Operating Companies, the Department for Transport, and industry partners, to drive the delivery of initiatives within the Proposition team’s portfolio that:
- Grow revenue
- Facilitate great customer experiences
- Contribute to the success of the railway industry
The ideal candidate will be an experienced commercial professional with a background in:
- Managing business propositions
- Stakeholder engagement
- Project management
- Market and performance analysis
Requirements
Skills & Experience
- Proposition Management: Significant experience in propositions management, product development, or similar commercial roles
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels (internal and external). Experience working with governmental agencies or public-sector organisations would be advantageous.
- Project Management: Strong organisational and project management skills, with experience managing complex, cross-functional projects from inception to delivery.
- Commercial Acumen: A solid understanding of revenue generation and financial drivers behind propositions.
- Customer Focused: A passion for customer-centricity with experience in delivering propositions or services that meet customer needs and drive satisfaction.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to:
- Analyse data
- Identify trends
- Make data-driven decisions Experience with business case development and market research is highly desirable.
