Harris Hill is delighted to be partnering with a leading national charity to recruit a Prospect Development Officer.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative fundraising team, using research and insight to support the growth of major donor, trust, and corporate fundraising.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth prospect research to identify new high-value fundraising opportunities.
  • Produce high-quality prospect profiles, briefing papers, and research reports to support fundraising activity.
  • Work closely with fundraising colleagues to develop prospect pipelines and donor engagement strategies.
  • Analyse data and trends to provide actionable insight that informs fundraising decisions.
  • Build strong relationships across fundraising teams, acting as a trusted research partner.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of prospect development processes and systems.
  • Keep up to date with fundraising, philanthropy, and prospect research best practice.

About you:

  • Experience in prospect research, supporter insight, customer intelligence, or a similar research-focused role.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret information from a range of sources.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting findings clearly and concisely.
  • Experience using CRM or supporter databases and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
