Protection Agency Consultant – Permanent Role

Edinburgh – Hybrid (50% office-based, 50% home working)

As a Protection Agency Consultant, you’ll build and strengthen partnerships, act as our leading liaison for advisors, and ensure smooth collaboration with our Royal London Sales teams.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

You’ll be the trusted first point of contact for advisors, owning every interaction from initial query right through to resolution—ensuring advillance feedback and seamless service delivery.

  • Manage agency relationships with professionalism and initiative, building lasting partnerships with IFAs and Sales teams.
  • Deliver end-to-end support for advisors, minimising hand-offs and providing a tailored, high-quality experience.
  • Improve the customer journey by understanding Royal London’s metrics and using them to guide decision-making.
  • Manipulate autonomously within established frameworks while adapting to ad hoc tasks efficiently.
  • Drive continuous improvement by sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues to further refine processes.

Ideal Skills & Expertise

  • Strong customer service ethic with a passion for exceeded advisor satisfaction and retention.
  • Excellent communication skills—able to articulate complex information clearly, professionally, and empathetically.
  • Fast-paced professional who thrives with multi-tasking and prioritising demands.
  • Admin or servicing experience, ideally with a background in working directly with financial advisers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) to help manage advice requests and administrative tasks efficiently.
