Protection Engineer

Protection Engineer – Integrated Utility Services (Stockton)

As a Protection Engineer, you will be fully responsible for HV/LV design, plant commissioning, protection commissioning, and protection maintenance. This exciting, new opportunity is based at our Stockton office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design of High Voltage/Low Voltage Protection Systems
  • High Voltage/Low Voltage Protection Commissioning
  • High Voltage/Low Voltage Protection Maintenance
  • Plant Commissioning Engineer support
  • Implementing fault-find and rectification measures
  • Providing technical support for Integrated Utility Services (IUS)
  • G59/99 Protection Commissioning
  • Managing subcontractors
  • Procuring materials for electrical panels (e.g., interposing relay G59/G99)

Qualifications & Experience

Essential Requirements

  • HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of Power System Protection fundamentals
  • Safety-trained for construction sites or plants (preferably CSCS and/or CCNSG certified)

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Advanced Power System Protection expertise
  • Knowledge of complex protection studies and system design
