Protection Training & Development Manager
We are looking for a passionate protection specialist with a proven track record of developing adviser capability through coaching, training and performance support - equally comfortable coaching one-to-one, presenting on stage, or working with businesses to identify development opportunities, and building a culture where protection advice delivers outstanding outcomes.
About Pivotal
Pivotal is the UK’s leading mortgage and protection advice provider. Backed by LSL and Pollen Street Capital, we’ve rapidly built a nationwide network of industry-leading specialist teams with over 1,000 talented people - together delivering annual revenues exceeding £100 million.
The Role
We're hiring a Protection Training & Development Manager to improve protection outcomes across Pivotal by developing advisers, leaders and businesses through coaching, training and performance consultancy. Success is measured not by sessions delivered, but by improvements in protection penetration, revenue per adviser, case quality, client outcomes, adviser confidence and business partner engagement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
