As a Protective Intelligence Team Lead, you will play a critical role in supporting our mission: proactively identifying and mitigating security threats through comprehensive analysis and strategic insights.
Key Details
- Work Pattern: 4-on, 4-off shift pattern (0700–1900 hrs daily, with short-notice mobilisation if required)
- Location: Milton Keynes (Live within 45 mins commute)
- Salary: £40,000–£45,000 per annum
- Experience & Skills: 3–5 years in intelligence, investigations or operations (people management advantageous)
- Industries of Interest: Global security threat analysis, current affairs, intelligence tools
About the Team & Your Responsibilities
The Protective Intelligence Team Lead will head a team of Intelligence Analysts within the Risk Intelligence Center (RIC). Your role is split between strategic leadership and practical execution to deliver actionable intelligence products for Securitas and its clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and direct intelligence efforts, aligning with Securitas leadership, clients, and account teams
- Manage a team of Intelligence Analysts, driving performance, development, and morale
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts while collaborating closely with senior colleagues
2. Intelligence Collection & Analysis
- Oversee the collection of data and information, leveraging intelligence tools, research, and manual processes
- Process and input data into databases, systems, and industry-standard tools
- Conduct analytical assessments, producing high-quality intelligence outputs including:
- Alerts and reports (written and verbal)
- Risk assessments and investigations
- Support complex analytic efforts and innovative methodologies, ensuring accessibility for varied stakeholders

3. Product Dissemination & Stakeholder Engagement
- Distribute intelligence products internally (Securitas) and externally (customers, UK & international stakeholders)
- Maintain consistency and quality in intelligence services, actively seeking customer feedback
- Work closely with clients, cross-functional teams, and external agencies to build intelligence networks
4. Innovation & Adaptability
- Explore and implement new intelligence sources and methodologies to stay ahead of evolving threats
- Act as a role model for best practices in analysis, arising from understanding global security trends
- Drives innovation, seeking opportunities and fostering collaboration within Securitas’ diverse ecosystem

Qualifications & Requirements
Essential Criteria
- Right to work in the UK
- Proven 5 years employment history, with verifiable documentation (including self-employment/unemployment)
- Exceptional written and spoken English for concise, audience-adaptive reporting
- Strong research, analytical and report writing skills (technically proficient in Microsoft Office and intelligence tools)
- Excellent time management and communication skills, with ability to collaborate and listen effectively
Prefed Skills/Advntage
Date formatting issue resolved—key phrase should read as:
- Past experience in people management (desirable, though not essential)
- Hands-on experience with intelligence software (e.g. CEMS, i2 or proprietary systems)
Track record of results in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
