Job Description
Purpose
The Protective Intelligence Team Lead leads a team of Intelligence Analysts, delivering advisory intelligence products and services to Securitas and Securitas’ customers as part of the Risk Intelligence Centre (RIC).
Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years’ experience in intelligence or investigations, with essential prior operations experience. While people management is advantageous, direct oversight of a team is not required.
The core focus is leading teams through:
- Collection, processing, and analysis of data and information.
- Production of high-quality intelligence reports and strategic insights.
- Dissemination of intelligence to both internal and external customers.
The role reports to the Protective Intelligence Manager, with a key emphasis on strong research, analytical, and reporting skills, complemented by people leadership and proficiency in intelligence tools and IT systems (e.g., Microsoft Office).
Working environment: Intense and dynamic, with flexibility to mobilise at short notice. The role operates on the aforementioned 0700–1900hrs shift pattern and includes travel (customer visits, industry events) where necessary.
Responsibilities
- Direction & Strategy
- Align intelligence efforts with RIC leadership, colleagues, account teams, and clients based on direction, instruction, and personal initiative.
- Identify, collect, and process data using intelligence tools, manual research, and databases.
- Analyse, condense, and structure intelligence into reports, assessments, and callouts using accredited analytical techniques.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
