Key tasks include open source research, media and social media monitoring, incident reporting, protective intelligence analysis, briefing production, and occasional travel to client residences, operational sites, and stakeholder meetings across the UK.

The successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional analytical judgement, discretion, attention to detail, and the ability to convert complex insights into clear, actionable protective security guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Threat Monitoring & Intelligence Gathering

    • Monitor open-source platforms, media, social media, and other relevant sources for threats, incidents, or developments affecting clients, family members, residences, movements, events, or operations.
    • Assess online exposure, unwanted attention, hostile reconnaissance, surveillance indicators, protest activity, crime trends, travel disruptions, and emerging risks.
    • Conduct threat assessments, triage exercises, and protective intelligence research tied to hostile threats, suspicious behavior, and operational security gaps.
  • Reporting & Briefing Support

    • Produce practical intelligence products, including:
      • Threat updates
      • Online exposure summaries
      • Travel briefs
      • Event briefing notes
      • Incident summaries
      • Persons of concern alerts
      • Site risk updates
    • Support incident reporting, escalation protocols, and risk mitigation strategies for urgent Protective Security concerns.
  • Operational & Administrative duties

    • Maintain accurate records of incidents, tasks, site information, risk analyses, and protective security observations.
    • Collaborate with CPOs, Resident Security Teams (RSTs), Security Advisors, and stakeholders to gather intel, confirm details, and refine reporting.
    • Support the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), site packs, briefing documentation, and escalation protocols.
    • Provide analytical support during proposal evaluations, client reviews, and project mobilisation phases.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
