Prototype Build Technician
Location: Woking, Surrey Position Type: Rolling contract Inside IR35
I am currently recruiting for a high-end, low-volume client based in Surrey, seeking a Prototype Build Technician to join their team on a long-term rolling contract basis.
Principal Accountabilities
- Work closely with Prototype Build Team members to construct high-quality, reliable prototype vehicles, bucks, and rigs.
- Support a diverse range of activities, including:
- Vehicle builds
- Fabrication
- Rig builds and testing
- Support prototype vehicle component manufacture.
- Co-ordinate simultaneous vehicle builds effectively and intelligently, managing conflicting priorities to tight deadlines.
- Contribute ideas for vehicle packaging and assembly, including systems across all areas.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Extensive development vehicle build experience (from whole-vehicle down to component level).
- Comprehensive knowledge of:
- Vehicle architecture
- Support equipment operation
- Experience supporting and maintaining prototype vehicles, with an ability to:
- Contribute to component and system fault diagnosis
- Good degree of computer literacy.
